Brand Vs. Brand
June 26, 2006

Brand Vs. Brand is a simple web application on the Ning.com platform.
Cloned from Ivan Bueno’s classic http://girlongirl.ning.com
The game asks “Who’s best?” which is an impossible question as each brand stands for it’s own individual values, but curiously you will always choose one over another - if asked. Brands therefore take on an anthropological strength yet maintain their hyperreality. I find this interesting..
Much of the content to the site is Trademarked material (the logos), and thus the ownership of this content remains with the copyright / tradmark owner.
As the Ning.com platform is hosted in the US and as only low quality logos (72dpi) are uploaded and the application runs as a non-profit website it is believed that the uploaded graphics should be covered by Fair Use.
Use of the logos here does not imply endorsement of the organization by Ning or this blogs author nor does it imply endorsement of Ning or this blogs author by the organization.
This leaves a Fair Use rationale to be delared, and this is simply the need to ask “Which Brand is the most loved?”.
